How Victory Brinker Became The World's Youngest Opera Singer At Just 7 Years Old, Can Sing In Seven Languages
Victory, who is now 10-years-old, was also the first-ever performer at America's Got Talent to receive a Golden buzzer from all four judges. She can reach over three octaves and sing in seven languages.
Victory Brinker became the youngest opera singer in the world at the age of only 7! Not only that, the young girl can sing in seven languages.
At the tender age of seven, she already had an operatic voice that could soar above the instrumental line and adapt to the dramatic demands of theatre shows.
To be exact, she has become the world¡¯s youngest opera singer (female) at seven years and 314 days old. The record was confirmed by Guinness World Records after the 7-year-old participated in eight professional performances in 2019 at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre's Lights and Legends show.
Victory, who is now 10-years-old, was also the first-ever performer on America's Got Talent to receive a Golden buzzer from all four judges. She can reach over three octaves and sing in seven languages.
"I was an early talker and started singing at age two. Between ages two and three, I was memorizing entire CDs with good pitch. I was always singing," said Brinker.
"I love the challenge of the difficult arrangements, the technique required to sing, all the runs, and the different languages all the arias are written in," she added.
When Brinker was a baby, she was adopted by her parents, Christine and Eric Brinker. She has ten other siblings. Right before her 6th birthday, she showed interest in opera.
She was introduced to the art form by her mother. She now sings in the morning, in the shower, and at school. On 27 March 2022, Victory participated in the Italian television show Lo Show Dei Record.
"I sing in the morning, in the shower, at dinner, at school, and even when I¡¯m falling asleep. My family says I even sing in my sleep," said Brinker.
Here's a video of her singing from last year's America's Got Talent.
What is Opera?
An opera is a form of theatre where music is a fundamental component and dramatic roles are taken by singers. Such a "work" (the literal translation of the Italian word "opera") is typically a collaboration between a composer and a librettist and incorporates a number of the performing arts, such as acting, scenery, costume, and sometimes dance or ballet.
