The incident reportedly took place on Monday in the doctor's chamber. Family members of patients admitted to the hospital were shocked to witness the act.
According to a Mirror Now report, the nurse went to the doctor's chamber and asked him to issue a death certificate. The duo allegedly got into an argument and the nurse slapped the doctor and he also retaliated.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Reports suggest that when the nurse approached the doctor to issue the death certificate, he told her to get a formal written request, which led to a heated argument between them.
When the argument escalated, the nurse slapped the doctor and he hit her back, as seen in the video posted by ANI.

City Magistrate Ramji Mishra says, "I have spoken to both of them. They say they were under stress and overburdened. We will probe this & speak to both of them."

No official complaint has been made to the Rampur police but district magistrate Ravindra Kumar has ordered an investigation into the matter.
The administration claimed that the clash broke out between the nurse and doctor as the healthcare staff is overworked amid the COVID-19 resurge. City magistrate Ramji Mishra said, "The staff is overburdened with work and the duo, perhaps due to stress, ended up slapping each other. "
