Frantic Couple Runs To Police To Help Their Choking Baby, Officer's Quick Action Saves Life
A cop saved a choking baby in Australia and is being hailed as a hero on the Internet. CCTV footage shows a couple rushing into a police station in Perth around 11:30 pm to look for help for their eight-month-old baby who was choking on food. Within a few seconds the officer managed to dislodge the food item that was stuck in babys throat by patting on its back.

In the video one can see, the couple enters the station all panicky, after a few seconds, Sergeant Jason Lee runs towards the couple. Takes the baby from it¡¯s father¡¯s arm to perform first aid.
Within a few seconds the officer managed to dislodge the food item that was stuck in baby¡¯s throat, by patting on its back. Once the baby could breathe properly again, the officer handed it back to the father.
Then the officer demonstrated how to save choking infants, for the benefit of parents.
Western Australia Police Force wrote on Facebook, ¡®Around 11.30 pm last night, Tuesday 24 December 2019, a man and woman attended Perth Police Station with a toddler who was choking. A Sergeant came into the foyer and used first aid to dislodge an item from the mouth/throat of the young child. First Aid is very important to know and you never know when you may need to use it¡¯.
Acting Inspector Shane Crook told 9News "Our officers receive first aid training and with several years of experience, it looks like that training experience just kicked in and he's gone straight into action," adding, "It just sort of lifts the place. A situation like that. It is positive, it's a good result, I think everyone would have been all-smiles... police officers like good stories.¡±
