Virat Kohli, an Indian cricket icon, recently shared his thoughts on the significance of hardship, highlighting how today's age glorifies hard effort as battle.
Which words does Kohli prefer to avoid using?
Kohli, 35, stated a preference for avoiding phrases like "struggle" and "sacrifice," claiming that he is simply following his passion. "Honestly, sitting in my position, I can't use words like effort and sacrifice. For me, there has been no fight or sacrifice," Kohli told host Gaurav Kapoor during a talk program that he was doing what he loved.
Kohli went on to say that individuals who lack basic requirements like as regular meals have the greatest hardship. While conceding that hard work can be romanticized as struggle, he emphasized the significance of supporting one's family.

What else did he say?
¡°Struggle uski hoti hai jisko do waqt ki roti nahi milti hai. Aap apne hard work ko struggle bol ke usko glorify kar sakte ho, uspe cherry on top laga sakte ho, aapko koi nahi bol raha hai gym mein jaane ke liye, but you have to feed your family. (The one who doesn¡¯t get two square meals in a day, he¡¯s the one who¡¯s struggling. You can glorify your hard work by calling it a struggle, you can put a cherry on top, no one is asking you to go the gym, but you have to feed your family),¡± he wrote.
How did Kohli express gratitude?
The former Indian captain expressed gratitude for his current situation, acknowledging that in comparison to the serious issues individuals face, his own concerns appear insignificant.
"I am just grateful; basically, I am in a privileged position since I am able to accomplish what I have always wanted to do. I play a sport as a profession. It is not done when you consider the real challenges that individuals encounter in life. You can't compare getting out of a Test series to someone who doesn't have a roof over his head," he pondered, to applause from the crowd.
