Artistic swimming, often referred to as synchronised swimming and overseen by World Aquatics, is a captivating blend of water acrobatics and choreography set to music.
Athletes execute intricate routines, sometimes leaping gracefully from the water.
Despite the USA team's breathtaking performance, which wowed audiences, they scored 249.0067 and landed in seventh place after the opening round.
This isn't the first time the US artistic swimming team has gone viral on social media with their performance.
Recently, a video from their routine at the Doha 2024 World Aquatics Championships in February resurfaced and went viral after being shared by filmmaker Subhash Ghai.
Ghai, impressed by the performance, took to social media to express his admiration: "RARELY IT HAPPENS WHEN A HINDI FILM THEME MUSIC LIKE TAAL BECOMES ICONIC. It was seen At world Aquatics DOHA 2024 which inspired USA ARTISTIC SWIMMING TEAM to display their unique performance on music of TAAL. I feel blessed .. thank you all," Ghai wrote.

In this standout performance, the team performed to the opening music of the song "Taal Se Taal Mila," a track composed by the legendary AR Rahman and written by Anand Bakshi, featuring vocals by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan.
The song, famously performed by Aishwarya Rai in the film, added a memorable touch to their routine.
Shared on August 4, the video quickly captured the public's imagination, amassing over a million views as social media users celebrated it as one of the most remarkable crossovers in recent memory.
