The Theory That's Driving People Crazy: An 18-Inch Pizza Has More Pizza Than Two 12-Inch Pizzas
An 18-inch pizza has 254 square inches of pizza while two 12-inch pizzas only have about 226 square inches. An 18 inch pizza has more pizza than two 12 inch pizzas. The volume is the area times the depth so pi is pi * z * z.
If in some alternate universe you decided to spilt your Pizza, be smart about it and follow the Fermat's Library's theory.
According to this theory, you'll technically get more pizza by splitting one 18-inch pizza instead of ordering two 12-inch pizzas.
Here's a useful counterintuitive fact: one 18 inch pizza has more 'pizza' than two 12 inch pizzas pic.twitter.com/hePSpG0pJs

It sounds counterintuitive, but Fermat's Library did the math: An 18-inch pizza has 254 square inches of 'pizza', while two 12-inch pizzas only have about 226 square inches.
And of course people's pizza state of mind got some serious seasoning:

So the best option is to get two 18 inch pizzas then. Got it.

Yeah, but the crust is arguably the best part and two 12 inch pizzas have 33.3% more crust than a 18 inch pizza. And now I'm hungry, thanks @fermatslibrary! pic.twitter.com/ZUfGicpcWG
