I was a senior in high school, from a small town. He was a big celebrity. I thought it was cool.¡±

But she says things quickly escalated. ¡°At the second show, he had started to move from just flirtatious to sexual. He literally started calling me ¡®Lolita¡¯ and telling me he was old enough to be my father.¡±

The woman details how Leto made increasingly inappropriate comments and advances, including saying things like, ¡°I¡¯ll be your birthday present,¡± and, ¡°I¡¯m going to punish you on your birthday.¡± He also allegedly brushed her hair and called her ¡°sweetheart¡±, but it was never just innocent. ¡°There was always a sexual undercurrent,¡± she says.

According to her, Leto checked her ID and made it clear he was keeping track of when her 18th birthday would be. ¡°He was waiting until I crossed that legal threshold.¡±

Before she was even 18, she says Leto licked her neck, groped her chest and backside, and took her backstage where he would whisper things like, ¡°Don¡¯t cheat on me.¡± She adds that he had her phone number and would call her at night, sometimes pretending to be someone else. ¡°It was confusing. I was developing this weird mix of feelings toward him.¡±

Shortly after she turned 18, she says they had sex. ¡°I was a virgin. He knew this. That would have been weird regardless, but the fact that he knew made it worse.¡± She says his ¡°solution¡± was to ¡°use a different entrance¡±.

They had sex once more, but over time, she stopped responding and moved on with her life. ¡°I eventually got into healthy relationships with normal people my age,¡± she says. ¡°And I just lost interest.¡±

Reflecting now, she sees the situation more clearly. ¡°I know I made poor decisions. I was 17, 18. But this was a grown man. A celebrity. There was a huge power imbalance. I don¡¯t know what the hell he¡¯s doing now, but he spent a large part of his life being a predator toward young women.¡±

She ends by thanking the nine women who recently came forward in an article detailing their own allegations against Leto. ¡°I¡¯ve been wanting to share my story for a long time. But it¡¯s very hard to speak up. I feel like those nine women gave me permission.¡±
