A throwback video of the actor has sparked a fresh controversy after several netizens found his views about women deeply ingrained in misogyny.
In the resurfaced clip, which has now gone viral, Yoo discusses how he takes hints about a woman's interest in him based on her dressing style.
He claimed that a woman's clothing choices are indicative of her interest in him, stating that if she doesn't wear revealing clothing, he assumes she's not interested, and vice versa.
"If a woman wears something translucent, where you can sort of see something whenever they walk? If they wear something like that when they are out with me, I would think they are interested in me. If they are all covered up, it feels like they are putting up a wall, and I think they are not interested in me," the actor said in Korean, as per Koreaboo.
He then told Moon Chae Won, his Mood of the Day co-star, that it's her conservative dressing style that has posed a difficulty in her dating life.
