Who is Vijay Vikram Singh and why Rajat Dalal¡¯s fans are abusing him? Here¡¯s why the Bigg Boss narrator is getting death threats
Bigg Boss narrator Vijay Vikram Singh, a familiar voice for 15 years, is caught in a bizarre controversy as Rajat Dalal¡¯s fans shower him with hate, thinking he¡¯s "Bigg Boss." Death threats, abuses, and wild assumptions led him to clarify his role and plead for peace.
The name Vijay Vikram Singh might not immediately ring a bell, but if you¡¯ve ever watched Bigg Boss, you¡¯ve definitely heard his voice. For over 15 years, Vijay has been the narrator of Salman Khan¡¯s hit reality show, guiding viewers with that iconic, deep baritone. But now, the man behind the voice is at the center of an online storm, facing abuse and death threats from confused Rajat Dalal fans.
Why the hate, though?
The drama began after the Bigg Boss 18 finale, where fitness influencer Rajat Dalal was controversially evicted, finishing in third place behind winner Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena. Fans were furious, crying foul on social media and labeling the show ¡°fixed.¡± But instead of taking it up with the makers or host Salman Khan, many targeted Vijay Vikram Singh, assuming he¡¯s "Bigg Boss" and responsible for Rajat¡¯s eviction.
Fans cross the line
Rajat¡¯s enraged fans took to Vijay¡¯s Instagram, flooding his posts with hate-filled comments and even death threats. One disturbing comment read: ¡°You did wrong with Rajat Dalal; your family and kids will never be happy.¡± Things got so toxic that Vijay had to disable comments on one of his posts to shield himself and his loved ones.
Vijay Vikram Singh's plea for peace
This isn¡¯t the first time Vijay has had to deal with misguided fans. Back in December 2024, he addressed the confusion in a video message, explaining, ¡°I just narrate tasks and timings for Bigg Boss. I have no idea about the voice that speaks to contestants. I don¡¯t know if it¡¯s a machine or a real person. Please stop abusing me.¡± Despite this heartfelt clarification, the hate continued after another controversial eviction.
Earlier this week, Vijay posted another video, pleading with Rajat Dalal¡¯s fans to stop the abuse. He reiterated that while he is the second voice of Bigg Boss, he¡¯s not the mysterious, omnipresent "Bigg Boss" himself.
More than a voice
Vijay Vikram Singh¡¯s talents go beyond Bigg Boss. He¡¯s acted in acclaimed web series like Manoj Bajpayee¡¯s The Family Man, Kay Kay Menon¡¯s Special Ops 1.5, and Kajol¡¯s The Trial. His onscreen work has earned him praise, but it¡¯s his narrator role that keeps him in the public eye¡ªand, unfortunately, in the crosshairs of angry fans.
With social media vitriol on the rise, Vijay¡¯s appeal serves as a reminder to fans: don¡¯t shoot the messenger¡ªor, in this case, the narrator.
