'No Stone Unturned In Disappointing Fliers':?Journalist Finds Stone In Air India Inflight Meal
Journalist Sarvapriya Sangwan of the BBC posted a photo of her dinner aboard Air India Flight 215. She stated that she found a stone in her inflight meal.
Air India has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Since a drunk passenger on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi in November of last year was reported to have urinated on an older woman, the airline has been the subject of increased criticism.
On the same flight from Paris to New Delhi in December 2022, there was a second instance in which a drunk guy urinated on the blanket of a female passenger.
Again, the flight was operated by Air India.
And now, Air India has done it again.
A female journalist recently took to Twitter to complain that she discovered a small piece of stone in her food while flying on an airline controlled by the Tata Group.
Journalist Sarvapriya Sangwan of the BBC posted a photo of her dinner aboard Air India Flight 215. She stated that a stone was found in her dinner.
You don¡¯t need resources and money to ensure stone-free food Air India (@airindiain). This is what I received in my food served in the flight AI 215 today. Crew member Ms. Jadon was informed.

Air India responded to Sangwan and wrote,
Dear Ma'am, this is concerning and we're taking this up immediately with our Catering team. Please allow us some time to get back. We appreciate you brining this to our notice.

"Dear @TataCompanies: JRD Tata once set standards for the aviation industry. He built #AirIndia into a globally respected brand before Govt took it over. Now that you¡¯re back as owners, hitting new lows? Is there no corporate oversight? How do you manage #PeeGate, and now this," wrote one.

On Saturday, Delhi Police arrested Shankar Mishra in Bengaluru for urinating on an elderly woman passenger on November 26. In light of the event, Wells Fargo fired Mishra on Friday.
According to police, the accused, Shankar Mishra, allegedly urinated on a woman co-passenger in an intoxicated condition in the business class of the Air India flight from New York to Delhi on November 26 last year.
Delhi Police registered an FIR against him on January 4 on a complaint given by the woman to Air India and arrested him from Bengaluru on Saturday.
A court later sent the accused to judicial remand for 14 days while rejecting a police plea for custody.
During interrogation, Mishra told police that he did not remember anything about the incident since he was sleepy. It was only when other passengers on the flight told him about his actions that he apologized to the victim, officials said on Saturday.
Mishra admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol. He claimed that while traveling in the US, he and his friend took turns driving a car, and he did not get proper sleep, a senior police officer said.
