Unwanted Surprise: Bengaluru Man Shocked To Find 'Live Snail' In Salad He Ordered From Swiggy
Dhaval Singh took to X (previously Twitter) to report his terrible experience in order to warn other clients.
A man in Bengaluru was outraged when he reportedly discovered a live snail in a salad he bought from a local eatery through the food delivery app Swiggy.
Who discovered a live snail in his Swiggy salad order?
Dhaval Singh took to X (previously Twitter) to report his terrible experience in order to warn other clients. He also posted a video of the live snail laying on top of the vegetables in the salad he bought from Leon Grill, a local restaurant chain.
"Never ordering from @LeonGrill ever again!" he stated in his post. He concluded with the following: "Swiggy, do whatever you can to ensure this sh*t doesn't happen to others... Bengaluru folks take note".
What did he show in the video?
The video showed a salad bowl with a little snail lying on top of some vegetables. The bug can also be seen moving in the video. Singh noted in the post's comments section that he not only received tainted salad but that his drink order was also erroneous.
How did Swiggy react?
To make matters worse, he claimed that after filing a complaint with Swiggy, the meal delivery service only provided him a half refund. Swiggy, on the other hand, quickly reimbursed Mr Singh's entire order amount.
Hi Dhaval. That is terrible. Please help us with the order ID, so we can look into it.

The meal delivery platform contacted Singh on X and requested that he disclose the specifics of his order. The situation was likewise described as "terrible" by the company.
"Swiggy should immediately blacklist the restaurant! I've also had food from this restaurant that was either reheated or spoiled," one consumer commented. "It comes as no surprise to me. It has already happened. "Worst hygiene, care, and responsibility," another said.
"How outrageous! Swiggy has recently turned illiterate. A few days ago, their delivery professional stole my order, and their customer service confirmed it. They took about 20 days to reimburse, and I had to inquire every day. Ugh! It was annoying," said a third user.
