So, basically Evie's mother decided to drown all the groceries that she had bought from Tesco into the bathtub with soap and water in order to 'sanitise' them. The funny thing is, let's admit it, a lot of us are actually doing the same thing, because we want to be as careful as we can possibly be, even if others might think we're a little paranoid.
If you have access to the world-famous app TikTok, you will see millions of people taking drastic measures to sanitise things around them. In fact, a few weeks ago, a woman in China was so paranoid about getting infected, that she placed more than 3000 yuan in her microwave in to make sure any virus on the bank notes dies, which only led to the money being burnt to a crisp in under a minute.
Evie's tweet garnered a lot of attention from people who shared similar stories of trying to sanitise things.

Some people were also quick to point out how the soap is only going to ruin the groceries.
Excellent, I mean who doesn't like a soapy cauliflower?

Not sure the broccoli needed a bubble bath...

Can't help but feel as a food delivery man that your mother has gone a little extreme.

Either that or I am very lucky.
Please tell your mum she doesn¡¯t need to wash her groceries with soap
