Etawah: Bride Calls Off Marriage After Two Pheras, Says Groom Was ¡®Too Dark¡¯

In a surprising and shocking turn of events, bride Neeta Yadav took two ¡®pheras¡¯ during the wedding before abruptly cancelling the ceremony and what was shocking to know was the reason for the cancellation of marriage. She has said that groom was ¡®too dark.¡¯
Things changed at last moment
Reports indicate that the incident occurred on Thursday, the day before Neeta Yadav's marriage to Ravi Yadav, at Bharthana in Etawah and unfortunately everything changed at the last moment.
As soon as the wedding ceremony started, the couple exchanged garlands, and problems began. Neetu abruptly revealed her intention to end the marriage after two ¡®pheras.¡¯
Said the groom is different
She said that the groom who had been introduced to her before was not the one she was marrying. She said that she didn't like his skin colour since it was too dark. Even when her family members pleaded with her to come back, she left the 'mandap' and did not return, news agency IANS reported.
After more than six hours of trying to persuade the bride, the groom and the ¡®baraat¡¯ left without solemnising the marriage.
Complaint filed
However, the father of the groom has filed a police complaint alleging that thousands of rupees worth of jewellery that was given to the bride as a present has not been returned to them, IANS reported.
The groom Ravi said that the incident put his life in jeopardy.
