A fisherman has had a terrifying experience as he desperately tried to flee after being chased by a haunting sea creature with glowing eyes.
The unnamed fisherman filmed the frightening clip as he tried to race away at full throttle from the creature off the coast of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil¡¯s most southern state, Daily Star reported.
"Wanted to attack me," the fisherman captioned the clip, which he shared online.
The unidentifiable creature can be seen repeatedly leaping from the water as it appears to chase after the fisherman as he speeds away on a boat.
The creature is only just visible in the clip, thanks to two glowing dots which appear to be its eyes. It jumps out of the water like a dolphin but appears much more menacing as it almost catches up with the boat. However, the marine beast apparently gets beaten back by the speedboats slipstream.
Last year, an Australian fisherman ferociously fought off three hungry sharks as they tried to snatch a fish out of his hands.
Cooper Watson was lucky to escape without being bitten after a close encounter with three blacktip sharks at the Cocos Islands, in Western Australia's coast, New York Post reported.
The jaw-dropping clip showed Watson hooking a fish as he stood thigh-deep in the Indian Ocean's crystal clear waters. But suddenly the scene changes as a blacktip shark enters the fray and attempt to snatch the fish out of his hand.
As the predators tried to latch onto the prey, Watson did well to hold onto his catch. But his efforts did little to deter one of the determined sharks, which leapt up and chomped down on the fish, causing blood to pour into the ocean.
The blood attracts the sharks as they make their move again, prompting Watson to kick around in the shallows to scare them away as they darted around his legs.
Watson had said he was fortunate to walk away uninjured and he would have been in trouble if he had been bitten as there was no phone service in the area.
