India is famous for its mouthwatering street food and panipuri or golgappa, arguably, is the most loved among the various versions of snacks available.
When it comes to food, we have been treated to some bizarre new trends. While we thought panipuri would be saved from the ordeal, that hasn't proven to be the case. Not long ago, images of butter chicken golgappas being sold were circulating on the internet, leaving users with a bad taste in their mouths.
A new addition to these weird food combos we definitely didn't need is, "fire panipuri". Yes, you read that right!
Food blogger Krupali Patel posted a video of her eating a fire golgappa in Ahmedabad and the clip has irked many social media users. The panipuri that oozes flames, literally.
The clip was shared by Krupali on her Instagram page called ¡®foodiekru¡¯ with the caption, "Okay bye. Fire Panipuri. In Ahmedabad."
The viral video shows a panipuri filled with all the stuffings such as sev and potatoes. And, then the street vendor lit it up. He then puts it in the mouth of his customer, who, at first, appears hesitant but allows him to put the fire panipuri in his mouth. In the clip, one can also see some pieces of sev getting burnt while the panipuri is set on fire.
The video has gone viral on social media and it is fair to say not everyone is impressed. Many people took to the comments section to make their feelings clear.
"I have one question, why do that with panipuri?," one user commented.
"Kuch bhi matlab, aag laga do bas," another commented.
"Yaar muh jal jayega," a third user chimed.
This is not the first weird experiment of this kind. Last month, a video went viral showing a street vendor selling "fire momo".
The video shows the street vendor taking a few pieces of momo, and tossing them into a frying pan with hot oil inside. He fries the momo and then drains out the hot oil. After that, he adds some chopped up vegetables to the pan and a handful of sauces. At some point, the momo inside the pan catches fire, and the vendor keeps tossing them around till all the ingredients are properly mixed.
He then serves them on a paper plate.
