It was quite a shock for residents of Solomon¡¯s Avenue Flat in Kerala's Thrissur district to find liquor running from taps that ideally should've dispensed water.
At least 18 families were affected and received tap water mixed with alcohol, claims reports.
After looking into the matter the residents were shocked to discover that the excise department's effort to destroy seized liquor had gone terribly wrong.
According to Manorama online, it all started six years ago. A bar named ¡®Rachana¡¯ located near the houses was charged with illegally storing 6,000 litres of liquor. The excise department intervened and was asked by the court to get rid of the illegal booze.

This alcohol-water was pumped to tanks and into the houses of unfortunate residents who were really not amused.
