Rudrapur Man Pays Rs 50,000 In Coins To Buy TVS Jupiter

"Little drops make the mighty ocean" is a very famous adage which indicates that every small effort counts to achieve something big. This saying stands correct today and will stand correct forever. A man, however, took the saying a little bit too seriously.

A man from Rudrapur collected 50,000 worth of Rs 10 coins to buy a TVS Jupiter scooty. The news spread on the internet like wild flowers. Here's what happened.

A man paid Rs 50,000 with Rs 10 coins only

A fairly young man from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, collected Rs 50,000 in coins to purchase a scooter from his local TVS dealer. The video of the incident has surfaced online and it looks like what you are imagining it in your head.

In the video, a man can be seen sitting on a chair patiently waiting for the salesman to finish counting his money, which is all coins. The salesman can be seen meticulously calculating the money in small batches. A man has paid Rs 50,000 in Rs 10 coins to purchase a brand new TVS Jupiter scooter in Rudrapur, Uttrakhand.

The man, whose name and identity are not yet known, decided to purchase a TVS Jupiter Scooter. This scooter is a 110 cc single-cylinder model with the company's Ecothrust Fuel Injection technology installed. It generates 7.4 horsepower and 8.4 Nm of torque. The man in the video claims to be paying Rs 50,000 as payment in exchange for the scooter.

However, it is noteworthy that the on-road price of a Jupiter basic model, with metal wheels and drum brakes, in Rudrapur is reportedly Rs 85,210. The remaining balance of the amount was not seen on the video, and it is unclear how the man made that payment. A brief video of a minor incident has surfaced.

This is not the only such incident

This is not the only man who has done this. Only this year there have been similar cases. In March this year, a man named V Boopathi from Tamil Nadu was also in the news for doing something very similar. The 29-year-old Boopathi from Salem, Tamil Nadu, bought a Bajaj Dominar, which he claimed was his dream bike, for Rs 2.6 lakh. However, the interesting part was his mode of payment. He too, like the Rudrapur man, decided to pay for everything in one rupee coin. The method of payment clearly left the internet stunned.

In February of this year, another man from Assam purchased a scooter after making a down payment consisting of Rs 22,000 in coins, which were his savings. He apparently used his 'Piggy Bank' savings to purchase a new scooty. The story came to light in a Facebook post by Hirak Das, who showed how the man carried a sack full of coins saved for 7 months to the showroom to purchase the new scooter. All of these episodes occurred in the year 2022.
