Case in point - this proposal that went sideways and was captured on camera.
In the now-viral clip, the man can be seen getting down on his knee and for some reason topless and popping the question to his other half at a packed hockey ground while the crowd around him jokingly chanted: "just say no."

However, the chant might well have influenced the woman, who clearly wasn¡¯t ready for it and fled the scene as quickly as she could, overwhelmed at what had just happened.

The incident occurred at the NHL game between the New York Islanders and the Florida Panthers on Friday.

The moment was captured by Islanders' fan Roger Farina and has since been viewed millions of times on social media.
