Men Wearing Covid Masks Steal Dior Handbags Worth $125k From New Jersey Mall

In a daring incident, four men wearing Covid masks executed a heist at a Dior store in New Jersey, making off with Dior handbags valued at $125,000. According to Milburn Police, the robbery occurred at the Short Hills Mall, where the men stormed into the store early on Monday morning.

Sales associates, startled by the intrusion, sought safety in a back office and promptly called the police. However, the robbers managed to escape in a black SUV before law enforcement arrived, taking with them 25 stolen purses.

A video shared on Instagram captured the thieves fleeing the store while holding the valuable bags, with one of them even reaching for a Dior bookbag on a shelf.

Passersby were left astonished as they witnessed the four men swiftly going through the mall's concourse, carrying their loot. According to the mall directory, Dior is located near Nieman Marcus on the mall's upper level.

The incident has raised concerns about security measures and prompted authorities to investigate the matter further.

In January, Milburn Police received a report about a theft at the Apple Store in the Short Hills Mall. According to employees, a man was seen fleeing with merchandise.

Officers located the suspect in his car in the mall's parking lot and discovered over $6,000 stolen Apple products. The police confirmed that the items were indeed stolen.

The 41-year-old culprit, Giorgi Mtchedlidz from Brooklyn, was charged with shoplifting, receiving stolen property, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

While the recent collection from Dior for the summer season showcases a range of bags, their prices vary from $5,000 to $15,000.

The Small Lady Dior bag, which costs $14,000, is the next most expensive tote on the list after the Medium Lady D-Lite bag, which costs $14,500.
