Remember The Metal Monolith That Disappeared From Utah? A Similar-Looking Structure Has Been Found In Romania
A similar looking metal structure has been found in Romania a week after the one in Utah vanished. The prism-shaped structure was found on Batca Doamnei Hill in the city of Piatra Neamt in northern Romania. It was spotted a few metres away from the Petrodava Dacian Fortress.
Just when you think 2020 can¡¯t possibly get any weirder, it does. Case in point - the mysterious monolith that was found standing in the middle of nowhere in Utah, all sleek and shiny. Local officials counting sheep from a helicopter spotted it, and were perplexed by its presence and nature. And then, lo and behold, it mysteriously disappeared - allegedly removed by an ¡®unknown party¡¯.
That, however, is not the end of the tale of monoliths, because now, a very similar looking metal structure has been found in Romania, a week after the one in Utah vanished. The prism-shaped structure was found on Batca Doamnei Hill in the city of Piatra Neamt, in northern Romania. It was spotted a few metres away from the Petrodava Dacian Fortress - a fort built by the ancient Dacian people between 82 BC and AD 106, and a famous archeological site.
We¡¯re inclined to believe that this is a different monolith altogether, because otherwise someone either transported the one in Utah over 9500 km to Romania, or the structure sprouted some sort of wings and did it on its own. Both the possibilities, in all honesty, are a bit unsettling.
In contrast to what could be seen in picture¡¯s in Utah¡¯s monolith, the one in Romania seems to have some kind of a pattern on it. Whether someone has just given it dust curls with their fingers or it¡¯s an engraved design, is not exactly clear.
When the monolith had appeared in Utah, many people had theorised that it might be the work of an artist who¡¯s an ardent fan of Arthur C Clarke¡¯s 2001: A Space Odyssey; some even suspected that he/she removed it from Utah after people started finding its exact coordinates.
The question now is, how long before this one goes poof! Are we ever going to find out why these keep appearing at random places, or is this going to be another - metaphorical - Bermuda Triangle?
