This Man Cut A Tree In Half Because He Couldn't Deal With Anymore Bird Poop In His Driveway
A neighbour from South Yorkshire, England who was bothered by a tree that led to pigeons coming up and pooping on their driveway cut it exactly into half.
Family rivalries are something we see a lot in Bollywood movies and shows. It is in fact very common to have such rivalries in real Indian houses as well. But, an old family dispute has gone way too far in a neighbourhood in England and it is all about a tree.
That's right! The Mistrys and the Lees who reside in Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England, have been having a dispute over a tree which is part of both of their boundaries. While the Mistry's wanted the tree, the Lees have had an issue with this boundary tree for over 25 years.
Bharat Mistry mentioned how the Lees, their neighbours had complained that birds in the tree were making too much noise and were making a mess of their driveway. They were so annoyed that they called tree loppers to cut half of the branches off the 5m tall tree.
Bharat told The Sun that he was gutted to watch the tree loppers. He said. "It has been there for 25 years and we¡¯d trimmed it into a ball shape with agreement with the neighbour and he has been fine about it. But recently there have been birds in the tree which you would expect at this time of the year. He started off by putting black bin liners in the tree to stop the birds sitting there. Last weekend he said he was going to get a tree surgeon to cut it down and we asked him not to but they came on Friday and did it.¡±
According to Bharat, he requested the Lees to not cut the tree but they had already started chopping it off. They chopped the part of the tree that was overhanging over their property. He even asked if he could get it trimmed back and put a net in it so it would stop birds getting in, but there was no compromise with the Lees.
It was cut exactly into half and now the picture of this tree has gone viral on the internet. Not just that, the half cut tree has become a tourist attraction as well.
