Major Oops! Seller In Shock As NFT Worth $1 million Is Accidentally Sold For Less Than A Penny
An NFT collector accidentally sold an EtherRock NFT worth $1 million (Rs 7.6 crore) for less than a penny. Soon, it was listed again for 234 ETH (Rs 4.6 crore).
Isn't it heartbreaking when your NFT worth millions sells for peanuts? Well, obviously it doesn't happen with everyone but it did to one unfortunate seller.
An NFT seller accidentally sold an EtherRock NFT worth $1 million (Rs 7.6 crore) for less than a penny. This seller listed their valuable NFT for 444 Wei instead of 444 ETH.
Wei is the smallest denomination of Ether and one Wei is equal to one quintillionth of an Ether.
Soon after the NFT was sold for less than a penny, it was listed again for 234 ETH (Rs 4.6 crore). This NFT seller who made a huge blunder took to Twitter to share his bad luck and asked for help.
He wrote, "How's your week? Mine? I just erroneously listed @etherrock #44 for 444 wei instead of 444 eth. Bot sniped it in the same block and tried to flip for 234 eth In one click my entire net worth of ~$1 million dollars, was gone. Is there any hope? Am I GMI? Can snipers show mercy?"

Many people sympathised with the seller for this misfortune but many also made fun of him for making such a terrible mistake. Many even questioned if the seller's entire et worth was just in a rock?
so so sorry, that is fucking rough. meanwhile some of these responses are so unnecessary and asinine and dismissive. i mean why? best of luck. <3

Etherrock is a collection of 100 cartoon pet rocks based on free clipart that has sold for millions of dollars.
A similar thing happened a couple of months ago as well when a seller named Max meant to list his Bored Ape NFT for 75 ether, or around $300,000. But he accidentally listed it for 0.75 ether. By the time Max spotted the error, it was too late.
Mistakes can have big consequences in the crypto world.
