Trump Compared PM Modi To The Rockstar Elvis Presley, Most Indians Don't Have A Clue Who He Was
For some reason, at the United Nations General Assembly, Donald Trump compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the legendary American musician Elvis Presley. PM Modi addressed a big crowd of Indian Americans in Houston, Texas at the ¡®Howdy Modi¡¯ event.
Comparing Modi to Presley, Trump said that the crowd went crazy for the Indian PM as if he was no less a rock star than Elvis Presley.
He probably meant that the way the crowd greeted Modi was kind of similar to how a crowd of fans would cheer for Elvis Presley when he came to stage.
"Those people went crazy, he's like an American version of Elvis,¡± Trump reportedly said. He probably wanted to say that he like an 'Indian version' of Elvis.

Now some of us do know the famous star, but soon after Trump called Modi, Elvis, Indians started googling ¡®Who was Elvis Presley?¡¯; since yesterday it has been one of the top searches, according to Google trends.
Those of us who know Elvis Presley know him as the musician who put rock 'n' roll on the map. He was born in 1935 and was a star by the mid 50s.
He was a drug addict and he had a heart attack in 1977. Trump obviously did not mean that Modi is a rock singer, he probably just meant that the effect that Presley had on his fans is the same that Modi had on the crowd there.
