The single mother of four started corresponding with Reese in October 2021, leading to a whirlwind romance.

Laura couldn't contain her excitement when Reese popped the question in December last year. She said she was 'blown away' by his proposal over the phone, Daily Record reported, citing PA Media.
The 32-year-old is planning the wedding for next year. The only problem is that the big day will have to be held in the prison and the attendance list will be limited to the couple, the vicar and one guest.
Laura is arranging a part-time carer for her eldest son, who is autistic so that she can travel to the US and meet Terrell in person for the first time.
Wedding ceremony to happen in prison
Reese is currently serving a jail sentence of up to 40 years for second-degree murder for his part in the death of 19-year-old Justin Solomon in 2009.

Solomon was murdered in Detroit, Michigan when he arrived at the meeting spot and another person appeared with an assault rifle, fatally shooting him several times.
The person who pulled the trigger was never convicted, while Reese was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene and jailed for murder in the second degree.
This isn't the first love story of its kind. Last year, a Dutch woman named Kelly Jacobs decided to get married to a man who is currently serving a prison sentence in Oregon, US.
The prisoner named James Dental is serving his 20-year term and will not be a free man till 2032. However, that did not stop Jacobs from deciding on him to be her husband. Also, she has never met Dental in person.

The bizarre love story started almost two years ago when Jacobs, who used to work as an intern at a prison and joined the inmate correspondence service Writeaprisoner.com to know how it felt to be an inmate.
Through emails, letters and calls, she grew closer to Dental.
Their casual conversations soon transformed into a proper relationship. Jacobs confessed that she initially tried to deny her feelings for Dental because she did not want her relationship to go that way.
However, soon after, Dental proposed to her for marriage during a video call, and she said yes.
