Nick and Noah's tumultuous relationship reaches a breaking point after a shocking turn of events at the Annual Gala, prompting them to make the painful decision to go their separate ways. While Nick feels deceived by Noah, she feels he has never really put his faith in her, causing their fragile relationship great harm.

Briar's Vengeful Strike at the Annual Gala

Briar, Nick's vengeful ex-girlfriend who believes he deceived her, didn't initially have her revenge plan sorted, but she managed to pierce through Nick and Noah's shaky relationship.

The Annual Gala serves as the perfect opportunity for her to strike as she uses the kitchen's backdoor to bring Nick's estranged mother, Anabel, to the event, leaving everyone shocked and Nick fuming in anger.

Anabel uses this moment to speak her truth, dispelling rumours that she abandoned Nick. She reveals that Nick's father and grandfather used all their connections to separate the mother-son duo, leaving her with no options.

In another shocking revelation, she slaps her former husband, Will, with a DNA report, which reveals he is also the father of her daughter Maggie.

Nick feels betrayed by Noah

When Anabel confronts her ex-husband, Noah comes forward as an accomplice in her mission, revealing it was her who let Anabel inside the mansion as she wanted to help Nick rekindle his relationship with his mother.

Despite the new-found information about his mother, Nick shows her no remorse. In fact, he says it doesn't make him feel any better. He then confronts Noah about her actions, as feelings of betrayal envelop his mind.

Nick seeks revenge on Noah

In a moment of reckless abandon, Nick's emotions get the better of him, and he shares a passionate kiss with his colleague Sofia, but what makes the situation even more explosive is that he does it in front of Noah, intentionally trying to hurt her.

In this process, not only does he manage to hurt Noah but also sets off a chain of events that he immediately regrets. Realising his mindless actions, he goes after Noah who immediately leaves the party after getting her heart broken.

Noah finds comfort in Michael

Briar had it all planned. She knew Nick's actions would upset Noah, and she swiftly stole keys from her bag. Due to a heavy downpour, Noah is left with no choice other than to visit Michael's apartment.

In a moment of weakness, she lets Michael comfort him, which eventually results in the two sharing passionate moments. As she finds solace in Michael, the heart necklace that Nick gifted her and she promised she'd never take off, slips into the ground, symbolising the end of their relationship.

As Noah returns home, she finds Nick waiting at her doorstep, sitting in a state of restlessness in the rain. However, he quietly leaves after seeing her return home in Michael's blazer.

Is there still hope?

As Noah visits her father's grave, she finds a touching message from Nick, hinting it's not over until it's over. Despite their breakup, this brings Noah's feelings back, probably hinting that she still wants to be with him.

What to expect from Our Fault?

The third film will explore Nick and Noah's dynamics as they navigate their blended family situation after their break-up. Since the closing scene also saw their parents reflecting on their actions, they may play an instrumental role in helping the couple reunite.

Our Fault, the third and final part of the film series, is expected to be released sometime in 2025, however, an exact date has yet to be revealed.
