At a time when Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are not just engaging in a war of words but even a possible cage fight as their rivalry deepens after Twitter¡¯s rival app Threads¡¯ launch, it seems that there is one aspect where the Meta CEO is far behind the world¡¯s richest person.
It¡¯s in terms of the entire net worth as well as the wealth added this year to date.
Elon Musk¡¯s Wealth Jumped More Than Mark Zuckerberg¡¯s Entire Net Worth
Thanks to Tesla shares already jumping more than 160% this year, its CEO, Elon Musk, has enjoyed a $117 billion jump in his wealth too. With the $117 billion increase in his wealth this year to date, Elon Musk's current net worth stands at $254 billion.
On the other hand, Mark Zuckerberg has added nearly half of what Musk has added this year to his wealth. The Meta CEO has added $67.3 billion to his wealth this year, taking his net worth to $113 billion, which is not only less than even half of Musk's net worth but also less than what Elon Musk has earned this year alone.
Nonetheless, just like Musk, the surge in Zuckerberg's wealth this year has come amid his company's shares jumping nearly 150% this year to date.

Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg's Rivalry
As early as March this year, Elon Musk mocked Mark Zuckerberg¡¯s Meta by calling it a "copycat" for planning to launch a dedicated Twitter-like social media application, which went on to be launched this month in the form of Threads.
Last month, in June, the rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg began to get physical, with Elon Musk tweeting that he would be "up for a cage fight" with Zuckerberg. Replying to that, the Meta CEO shot back by posting a screenshot of Musk¡¯s tweet with the caption "Send me a location."
However, it still remains to be seen if and when that ultimate cage fight happens.
And last week, Musk again stood firm on his stance that Threads is a copy of Twitter, as he said in response to a tweet citing the news of Twitter suing Meta, "Competition is fine, cheating is not.".
And just a couple of days ago, Zuckerberg seemed to be testing the waters to see where other tech moguls stand amid the Twitter vs. Threads saga. He targeted none other than Twitter's former CEO and co-founder, Jack Dorsey. Click here to see how Dorsey and Twitter users reacted to it.
