According to The Times of India, this mall is part of a $2.5 billion expansion project called Worldmark Aerocity. The mall is expected to be ready in three years, with the entire project to be completed in two phases over five years.

Worldmark Aerocity aims to create India's first aerotropolis, a city centered around an airport. The project will expand Aerocity from its current 1.5 million square feet of leasable space to over 10 million square feet by 2029.
