Since 2020, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has been earning a ¡®nil¡¯ salary from his business empire.
Ambani has neither drawn any salary nor profit-based commission since three years, i.e from 2021. Before that, he had capped his annual remuneration at Rs 15 crore from 2008 to 2020. And since 2021, he opted to forego his salary due to COVID-19 pandemic. He has continued that zero salary decision even post the pandemic.
Moreover, he will continue to earn nil salary till 2029, the year till which has got an extension for the role of Reliance Industries¡¯ Chairman and MD.

While he does earn zero salary at Reliance Industries despite heading the conglomerate as its Chairman, Mukesh Ambani¡¯s net worth keeps increasing. But how? It is because he is still earning handsome money through dividends that Reliance declares from time to time.
Mukesh Ambani and his private firms hold 47.29% stake in Reliance Industries. He personally owns 75 lakh or 0.12% of Reliance Industries¡¯ shares. Reliance Industries¡¯ shares have surged nearly 10% this year till date, more than 25% in last one year, and 115% in last five years.
