Roles Need To Be Defined At The Workplace, Says Murthy
Murthy emphasized not only leaders granting benefits to their team members but also the responsibility of employees to safeguard the company's resources. He also stressed the significance of defining roles in the workplace, stating that although colleagues may be friends outside of work, they must strictly adhere to their assigned duties while in the office.
The founder of Infosys recalled that since 1981, the company's primary aim has been to garner respect rather than solely focusing on profitability. He highlighted that earning respect from customers not only leads to profitability but also attracts top talent to the company.

He discussed financial concerns, mentioning that numerous corporations achieve profitability but encounter rising expenses that may result in losses. ¡°Finance is crucial; we must ensure that costs are reasonable and justified by business activities: expenses must be less than our earnings,¡± he said.
