Named after 'zeptosecond,' an extremely small unit of time, the startup Zepto promises to deliver groceries in minutes. Co-founders Vohra and Palicha founded the firm after they returned to India with a plan to build a quick commerce company. At its launch, the platform guaranteed a 10-minute delivery. However, it was later changed to "delivery in minutes," as per a Business Standard report.
The competition in the world of quick grocery delivery has been heating up in India. Zepto is competing with the likes of Zomato-acquired Blinkit, Dunzo and Swiggy Instamart, who are already present and plan to keep expanding.
