Avinash*s condition started deteriorating the next morning of the task, with his eyes swelling up more. Noticing the problem, contestant Bhaga Paji a.k.a. Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, asked what was happening to his eyes, to which Mishra replied, ※Mere body me kabhi bhi pain ata hai na it comes out from my eyes.§.
Seeing the swollen face in the latest episode, fans show concern, querying what has happened to his face. One Reddit user wrote, "What happened to Avinash's face?"
Can body pain lead to swelling of the eyes?
Highlighting the sensitivity he has towards his body, Mishra shared that whenever he experiences any sort of physical discomfort, it reflects in his eyes. Swelling around the eyes is caused by inflammation resulting from a varied range of conditions such as infection, injury, or allergies. Dr. Shrey Srivastav, Internal Medicine-Sharda Hospital, explains, ※Any type of body pain itself does not directly cause swelling of the eyes; rather, it happens due to underlying health conditions linked to pain that might lead to such symptoms.§
Inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, can cause systemic inflammation in the body, which sometimes may manifest as swollen eyes. ※In the same way, infections causing body pain like viral (flu or COVID-19) may lead to eye swelling due to an immune response,§ he adds.
What*s behind the swell〞How does this happen?
According to Dr. Shrey, ※Any type of inflammation in the body can raise vascular permeability, which leads to fluid leakage in tissues around the eyes.§ This is exacerbated by factors such as fatigue, dehydration, or stress during illness.
Risk factors of such conditions
Risk factors include chronic illnesses like autoimmune disorders, infections, lack of sleep, or allergic reactions. Individuals with weakened immune systems are particularly prone to systemic inflammatory responses that could result in eye swelling.
