The psychological thriller Severance is coming back on Apple TV+ with a brand new season. Directed by Ben Stiller, the show's season 2 will be available on Apple TV+ starting January 17, next year. As the show has been announced, a teaser for it has also been released.
The upcoming thriller drama is about four employees of an organisation called Lumon Industries. The story revolves around the group of employees named Mark, Helly, Dylan, and Irving who have decided to bring work-life balance into their routine. Will they ever achieve their goals? That is what the show is all about.?
The previous season of the show mainly focused on Mark, who is a widower, and Helly, who is shown as a new joinee and struggles with her life as an innie. The story progressed to show how Helly rebels often and ?attempts to escape by trying to commit suicide.
Recap of Season 1
Severance season 1 concluded with Irving, Mark, and Helly having their innie consciences activated and making discoveries like Mark's wife is not dead but also works at Lumon, presumably severed, and Helly literally belongs to the Lumon founder's family and has undergone the publicity procedure.
The now-released teaser shows Mark returning to the Lumon office. Mark, on his return, finds that he has a new group to work with.?
Severance features actors like Patricia Arquette, who plays the manager of the severed floor; Dichen Lachman, who can be seen in the role of a wellness counsellor at Lumon; and Ms. Casey, who is playing the wife of Mark. There are also other actors supporting characters, like Christopher Walken.
The series scheduled to release on Apple TV+ by January will have a two-episode first, and it will be then followed by weekly releases.
