On Koffee With Karan season 7, Karan Johar's controversial chat show, Ranveer Singh revealed that he was rejected in Bombay Velvet by makers as his market value wasn't up at the time and they believed he couldn't generate income as compared to his wife Deepika Padukone's ex boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.?
Now, Anurag Kashyap has backed Ranveer Singh's statement saying that the actor is now working with the same people, who had earlier rejected him for their Bollywood projects.?
"Interestingly, he is making movies with the very same people from the industry. So it's not like that. This industry is a weird place," Anurag Kashyap stated.?
Moreover, after Ranveer's shocking revelation about being replaced by Ranbir Kapoor in the film Bombay Velvet, Karan Johar was slammed by netizens for nepotism and promoting B-Town kids such as his favourite Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday in the industry.?
