Chhello Show, India's official entry in Oscars 2023 was screened in Mumbai before its due release on 14th October. Titled, Last Film Show in English, this coming-of-age Gujarati film was announced to be submitted in the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards. The film had beaten RRR, The Kashmir Files and more biggies unanimously by the jury.
Deepika grabbed eyeballs at the screening?dressed up in a full-sleeved white top paired with baggy pants and white sandals. She was spotted feeling positive while leaving the screening and also shared a cute moment with one of the child actors from the film. Bhavin Rabari got fortunate as he was kissed on the cheeks by Deepika and that has made the entire internet go 'Aww'. See the heartfelt video here:

Directed by Pan Nalin, Chhello Show had its world premiere as the opening film at DeNiro's Tribeca Film Festival. Since then, there has been no looking back on the film's fate. This slice-of-life film went on to win numerous awards at international film festivals, including the 66th Valladolid Film Festival in Spain. The film stars Bhavin Rabari, Bhavesh Shrimali, Richa Meena, Dipen Raval and Paresh Mehta.
¡°Last Film Show is said to be inspired by Pan Nalin's personal memories of falling in love with movies as a young child in rural Gujarat, which is set at the dawn of the digital revolution. The narrative of a nine-year-old boy, who begins a lifelong love affair with cinema after he bribes his way into a dilapidated movie theatre and spends the summer viewing films from the projection booth, is portrayed in this movie. The plot is set in a distant rural community in Saurashtra¡±, quoted reports.
Rahul Koli, one of the six child actors, passed away on 2nd October aged 10 after battling blood cancer. The team is devastated by the news but the family is holding themselves well. On 14th, Rahul's father and family will complete his last rites and will watch the film together. Actor Dipen Raval has said that the film is a tribute to Rahul and that there will be a trust fund set up to support his family's finances.
