According to a report by DNA, Pankaj Tripathi shared his thoughts on the A certificate awarded to "Oh My God 2" during a media interaction. Expressing his surprise, he mentioned that the film's team usually anticipates whether a movie will receive an A certification during its production. He drew a parallel with "Gangs of Wasseypur," recalling that they were aware of its impending A certification. However, the scenario differed for "Oh My God 2."
He said, "Iss film ko A milna, surprise tha humare liye. Thoda malaal hua ki jis age-group ko yeh film dekhni chaiye, 12-18 saal ke, woh nahi dekh payenge (For me it was a surprise. I was a bit disappointed, as the target age group of 12-17 years old won't be able to see the film)."
Nonetheless, he did clarify that he holds no grievances against the certification process or its board members. Pankaj Tripathi remains optimistic that the censor board might introduce certain modifications, potentially leading to the establishment of a rating category between U/A and A.
