On Saturday, Jaiswal and Rahul batted for more than two sessions at the Optus Stadium, giving India a 218-run lead over the hosts. The partnership scored an unbroken 172 runs for the opening wicket, putting India in command with three days of cricket remaining in Perth. Jaiswal and Rahul were unbeaten at the end of the day, with scores of 90 and 62, respectively.
