Dunki Trailer: Shah Rukh Khan Promises An Emotional Cross-Border Saga & Fans Are Super Thrilled

The most-awaited trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Dunki is out now and fans are super excited. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this comedy-drama marks the maiden collaboration between the filmmaker and King Khan. Dunki is SRK’s third film this year after blockbusters Jawan and Pathaan.

Recently, the second song of Dunki 'Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se'? was released making the fans get a little emotional.

The trending song was written by veteran lyricist Jave Akhtar who told Etimes, "In this film, I have only one song and interestingly, Raju Hirani played a pivotal role in ensuring that we included this song, and he specifically requested me to write it. I hope you will enjoy the song, as it is unique due to its distinct situation.”

“Typically, I write the lyrics after the tune is composed, but Pritam generously suggested that I write the song first, and he would compose the music accordingly, and he did a fantastic and brilliant job with it.” For the unversed, Dunki will arrive in theatres on 21st December this year.

While speaking to Deadline, SRK shared, “In English, my film would be called Donkey. But the way a part of India pronounces the word, it is ‘Dunki’. It is a film directed by one of the most brilliant filmmakers we have in our country, Mr Raju Hirani. It is written by a fantastic writer, Abhijat Joshi. It is a story of people who want to come back home when they finally get the calling.”

“It is a comic film. His (Mr Hirani) films are always a mix of comedy and a lot of emotions about the country. So, it is a big journey for me and the film goes through different areas around the world and finally comes back home to India.”
