Vivek Agnihotri¡¯s directorial The Kashmir Files continues its winning streak. This heart-wrenching exodus saga of Kashmiri Pandits has now won a special award at LIFFT 2022. Made on a subject that touched many cinema-goers and was parallelly quoted as a ¡®propaganda movie¡¯, The Kashmir Files bagged an award for Best Feature Film on Human Rights.

He wrote, ¡°GOOD NEWS: Happy to inform that #TheKashmirFiles has been awarded as ¡®Best Film on Human Rights¡¯ by #LIIFT2022. My gratitude to the people of India.¡± For the unversed, among the other winners at FIIFT, Just Let Me Go from Portugal was named the best feature film whereas Ramji Bali¡¯s Ajjo-Daughter of India got awarded as the best feature film on women¡¯s rights.
Back then Vivek had shared a series of pictures from the award night and tweeted, ¡°This award for #TheKashmirFiles being honoured as the Golden Film of Indian cinema is dedicated to all the victims of religious terrorism.¡± Reportedly, the movie was also nominated for the Switzerland International Film Festival.?

Vivek Agnihotri is currently filming ¡®The Vaccine War¡¯, a film based on India¡¯s vaccination battle with Covid-19. Parallelly, he is also eyeing the second part of The Kashmir Files. He confirmed the same amidst recent controversy where an IFFI jury called his film ¡®propaganda¡¯.
He told Aaj Tak, "I have decided that I will bring out the whole truth and its title will be The Kashmir Files Unreported. Aur yeh main isi saal ke andar andar leke aunga, yeh maine aaj drar nishchay karliya hai (I will bring it within this year, I am determined now)." For the unversed, Vivek in his files series also directed The Tashkent Files and will also be helming ¡®The Delhi Files¡¯.?
Vivek in his kitty has a National Film Award for Best Screenplay (Dialogues) for The Tashkent Files and Best Writer and Director award for Buddha in a Traffic Jam from Jakarta International Film Festival. Agnihotri directed Junooniyat, Chocolate, Hate Story, Zid and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. He married actress Pallavi Joshi in 1997 and has two kids.
