'Was Shaken After My Marriage Fell Apart', Aamir Ali On His Divorce With Ex-Wife Sanjeeda Shaikh

Everything seemed well when actress Sanjeeda Shaikh and Aamir Ali welcomed their their daughter Ayra Ali via surrogacy in August 2020.?

However, a few months later after delivering the good news, the couple left everyone shocked with the announcement of their separation. Sanjeeda Shaikh and Aamir Ali were married for nine years before they officially split.?

Now, Aamir Ali has opened up about his separation from Sanjeeda Shaikh and overcoming the most difficult times of his life.?

Speaking about his journey of healing in a recent interview with ETimes, Aamir Ali said that the period after his divorce with TV actress Sanjeeda Shaikh was the most difficult.?

“It was extremely difficult at that point. After my marriage fell apart, main hil chuka tha (I was shaken). But I am a sportsman by nature, and I never give up. I have always been a happy soul, and I am glad that I am back to being that,” he said.?

The TV star said that now he he harbours no ill feelings toward his former wife Sanjeeda and only wishes her happiness.?

“I don’t harbour ill feelings for anyone and I wish the best for my ex. Sab khush raho life mein (Everyone should just be happy)." the actor said. It was the COVID-19 pandemic that gave him ample time for introspection, Ali revealed and went on to say that he looked at the positive sides of his failed relationship.?

“During the pandemic, I got a lot of time to introspect. I started looking at the positives, be it from COVID-19 or my failed relationship,” Aamir Ali said.

Aamir Ali and his ex-wife Sanjeeda dated for many years before tying the knot in 2012. The two even won the dance reality TV show Nach Baliye 3 in 2007.
