Aamir Khan Tears Up While Talking About Father's Struggling Days, Leaves An Interview Briefly
We all know the brand that Aamir Khan is today but not many people know that one of the biggest superstars of the nation is the son of actor, producer, screenwriter and director Tahir Hussain. Recently, the Laal Singh Chaddha spoke about his father's struggling days. Talking about the difficult and financially stressful time, Khan got emotional. He teared up and left the interview for a brief period of time. Here's what happened.?
Aamir Khan talks about his father's struggling days
While speaking to Humans of Bombay, Aamir Khan said, "Thing that would trouble us most was Abba Jaan ko dekh ke (seeing our dad). Because he was a very simple man. Maybe he didn't have enough sense that he should not have taken so much loan."
Aamir Khan was 10 years old at that time. Aamir Khan got emotional during the interview and left for a brief amount of time to compose himself.

Aamir said that his father was a producer but he didn't have money. He said that at that time the tickets were sold in black and because of that, producers never got their dues.
"Unko problem mein dekh ke takleef hoti thi kyuki un logon ke phone aate the jinse paise liye hain. Unka jhagda shuru hojata tha phone pe ki ‘main kya karu, mere paas paise nahi hai. Meri film atki hai, mere actors ko boliye dates dein mujhe.’ (It would hurt seeing him in trouble. People who gave money would call. It would lead to a fight as my father said he didn’t have money. His film is stuck)," he added.

Despite everything, Aamir Khan's father paid back all the money. Aamir said that Mahesh Bhatt was surprised when he got his money back because he had almost lost hope.
Aamir Khan had earlier as well spoken about the times when his father had almost gone bankrupt.?
In a press event, Khan said that this happened after his father made a movie called Locket, which took about eight years to be fully completed. He added, "He was in big debt, I have seen my father go through a lot of financial crises. I don't know if you know this, but?we were almost bankrupt?and we were almost on the roads at that time'. He further revealed an incident where he confessed his father was almost going 'bankrupt' and was even planning to take up a job."

"He was up at night and the light was on. He had opened his cupboard and was searching for something. So my mother asked him - what are you looking for? To which, his said that he was looking for his graduation certificate', adding that they were going be bankrupt and were about to lose their home. Aamir then said that, his father then told his mother, 'I need to take a job and I have to earn money, so I’m looking for my graduation certificate'".
