Karan Johar broke his silence on the bans and the controversies surrounding his upcoming Diwali release ADHM in form of a video statement that was winning the internet. While KJo clearly mentioned that he won't work with Pakistani artists in the future, he also mentioned that apart from Fawad Khan, there were more than 300 artists who worked hard for the film and it surely is unfair to them.
Right after KJo's video, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena said that it will continue to oppose the release of his movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. There were many reports that claimed how Raj Thackeray-led MNS has threatened multiplex owners with vandalism if they released ADHM.
Questioning KJo's 'sudden change of behaviour', Shalini Thackeray, general secretary of Chitrapat Karmachari Sena told Express, ¡°This is the same Karan Johar who once said Pakistani actors should not be banned. Why this sudden change in heart? It¡¯s come a little too late in the day for him.¡±
MNS even tweeted about the same. One of their tweets read:
"We will not let the film air even in Multiplexes as it features Pakistani actors. Multiplex owners need to stay away from airing films featuring Pakistani actors...Or else, remember how expensive your glass walls are."
