Even the paparazzi in Mumbai address him as 'jiju' whenever they spot him at the airport during his visits.?
In a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, Nick laughed when the interviewer asked if she could also call him 'jiju,' a term used by Indians for brother-in-law.?
¡°A lot of people do (call me jiju),¡± the Maan Meri Jaan singer said.
He added that during his recent visit to India, where he accompanied his wife Priyanka Chopra at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC)¡° grand launch event, all the photographers on the red carpet were calling him "jiju.¡±
The interviewer then made Nick listen to a clip from one of the red carpet events, where one of the photographers addressed the singer-actor as, ¡®Ae Nickua¡¡¯ to which Nick said, ¡°Yes, I did hear that.¡±?
He also went on to add that it was "very good to be back."
"I love India. It has been a couple of years since I¡¯ve been there because of Covid, so this was a really fun trip. So yes, great to hear the many nicknames I have now," the actor was quoted as saying.?
Priyanka Chopra's darling husband Nick also spoke about his fondness for Indian food. He said that he would ditch gulab jamun and spring roll for jalebi and samosa.?
He revealed that even though five years have passed since he married Priyanka, his wife's friends and his in-laws keep checking with him about the amount of spice he can handle in his food?though he can¡¯t have pickles as its too spicy for him.?
