In the video, he can be heard saying that his grandfatherIftikhar Ahmed was the chief engineer of Karnataka who built the Mangalore port. He was educated in London and was one of the top engineers in the country, he said. About his father,?Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, he said, "he was the youngest freedom fighter of this country who fought for the freedom from the British. He added, "he was jailed when he was 16 or 19."?
One of his very close associates "or maybe related to him", as per SRK, was General Shah Nawaz, who was one of the leaders of?Indian National Army (INA).?

As the clip went viral, people pointed out "Shaheed Baji Rout (12 years) and Khudiram Bose (18 years) died for nothing". Another user said, "Youngest freedom fighter? Khudiram Bose and Baji Raut are rolling in their graves. Why do you need to resort to hyperbole..being a freedom fighter is glorious enough in every which way".?
For the unversed, Baji Rout, who worked as a boatman, was shot by the Indian Imperial Police at Nilakanthapur Ghat, Bhuban, Dhenkanal district, when he refused to ferry them across the Brahmani River in 1938.

In an interview with Farida Jalal, Shah Rukh Khan also shared the best advice he got from his father. His father used to say, "Aye badmash idhar aao, aye ullu ke patthey... tum apne aap ko itna hero bann ke ghumte rehte ho (Hey, you mischievous boy, come here. You son of a donkey, you roam around like a hero). You should never take your freedom for granted. We have given it to you so always maintain this freedom. At that point of time, I really used to think that by the freedom he meant from a foreign rule or something but now I understand after having grown up that this freedom he was talking about was in terms of poverty maybe, freedom from misery."
