In a surprising twist during the coverage of India's Lok Sabha election results for 2024, Pakistani-American singer Ali Sethi found himself making headlines, not for his music but for a lookalike spotted on an Indian news channel. Sethi took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a snapshot from the broadcast where a person resembling him was visible.
"Apparently I lost some votes in India," Sethi humorously captioned the photo on his Instagram post.
The initial discovery was made by an Indian viewer who shared the image on Instagram Stories, pondering if the individual in the broadcast was indeed the famous singer, particularly referencing Sethi's popular song "Pasoori" from Coke Studio Pakistan.
