Grammy Winner Ricky Kej¡¯s Rendition Of National Anthem Is So Good Even PM Modi Has Praised It
2023 marks India¡¯s celebration of 76 years of Independence and the country is painted in tricolor. Several creators on the internet are paying tribute to this iconic day with a lot of creativity and Ricky Kej¡¯s musical saga is one of them. This three-time Grammy award winner has created a beautiful version of the Indian national anthem and it¡¯s just unmissable.
It is so good that even the country¡¯s PM Narendra Modi has appreciated it.
Reacting to Kej¡¯s 60-second video of the anthem for the eve of the 77th Independence Day, PM Modi tweeted, ¡°Wonderful. It will certainly make every Indian proud.¡± Congress MP Shashi Tharoor also tweeted, ¡°What a wonderfully post-colonial way to celebrate #IndependenceDay! Well done @rickykej ¡ª you make us proud.¡±
Posting the video which garnered such viral appreciation, Ricky wrote, ¡°A few days ago, I conducted a 100-piece British orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to perform India¡¯s National Anthem at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, London. This is the largest orchestra ever to record India's National Anthem and it is spectacular!¡±

Amish Tripathi, author and minister (Culture & Education) at the High Commission of India in the UK also shared an attached video of himself urging people to watch Ricky¡¯s rendition. He captioned it, ¡°The Grammy-award winning @rickykej has made a wonderful rendition of the Indian National anthem, with a 100-member orchestra from @royalphilorch at the iconic @AbbeyRoad studios. Do watch... Bharat Mata Ki Jai!¡±
The Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, also thanked Ricky for his initiative through a video message.

Composer and environmentalist Ricky¡¯s achievements go beyond the boundaries.
He has performed in over 30 countries including at the United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva. It was in December 2022 that Kej was announced as a UNHCR "Goodwill Ambassador". Ricky has his roots in Bangalore and has been followed by PM Modi for a long time now.
