As #Salaarboxofficescam trends on X, the makers of the Prashanth Neel directorial have been accused of?manipulating box office numbers. Apparently, they added an extra Rs 100 crores to their total opening day collection.?
This was highlighted after several social media users saw that the 6 am and 7 am shows of the movie were sold out on Book My Show while the prime-time shows are empty. Some of the people also pointed out how these shows were empty - there was no one in the cinema hall/auditorium during these?shows.?
An X user claimed that the cinema hall inBuxar, Bihar which is houseful was actually shut six years ago.
Some others alleged it was a case of money laundering.?
"Malls are closed at 6 am and Open only after 8 am but all shows are sold out before 8 am," a Twitter user wrote sharing a video proving the same.?
"Everyone on YouTube is aware of the morning show scam of Salaar but trade analysts have no spine to report this robbery," wrote another user.?
"BookMyShow showed all morning shows housefull but in reality malls were closed during showtime," wrote a user.?

While a lot of social media users have also claimed that the production house has deleted the posts about the film's box office collection, the reality is that the page never posted this. The BO numbers were posted by the film's X handle.?
