In the wake of death threats that Salman Khan received reportedly from the members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang - which is reportedly behind Sidhu Moose Wala's murder - the Bollywood actor requested for weapon license. The actor has been issued a gun license.?
This comes after Khan met with newly-appointed Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar. Khan had said that he just wanted to congratulate his old friend, but the grapevine is abuzz with rumours that he met him to seek gun license.?
Furthermore, reports suggest that Salman Khan has upgraded his regular car to a luxury bulletproof land cruiser. He was earlier using Toyota Land Cruiser's old model.?
As per News 18's sources in Delhi Police's Special Cell,?Bishnoi told them?that he wanted to kill Salman Khan over the 1998?blackbuck poaching case.?He even admitted that he bought for Rs 4 lakhs for the same.?Blackbucks are dear to the Bishnoi community in Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab.??
HGS Dhaliwal, special commissioner Delhi Police (special cell) said that during the interrogation, Lawrence Bishnoi said, "Since the Bishnois consider the blackbuck to be the reincarnation of their religious guru, Bhagwan Jambeshwar also known as Jambaji, acquittal or punishment from the court will not be the last verdict for him."
"Lawrence Bishnoi also said actor Salman Khan and his father (Salim Khan) either tender public apology in Jambaji temple or the Bishnois will kill them,"?Dhaliwal informed.
Police has initiated an investigation to ascertain the authenticity of the threat letter and deployed a policeman with him for his security.??Saraswat told police in his complaint that a threat letter was found on July 3 in a door knob of the High Court's Jubilee Chamber, which has offices of lawyers.
The complaint said the letter bore initials of Lawrence Bishnoi and his aide Goldy Brar¡¯s names.?It said the lawyer will meet Sidhu Moosewala¡¯s fate, adding that an "enemy¡¯s friend is their first enemy.?The letter was found by Saraswat¡¯s assistant Jitendra Prasad and he informed lawyer about it immediately. But since he (Saraswat) was out of India, he informed the police commissioner about the matter. After this, an?FIR?was filed on Wednesday," Mahamandir SHO Lekh Raj Sihag said, as per PTI.?
"We are probing the authenticity of the letter and have provided security to Saraswat in view of the threat," Sihag said.
