Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Somy Ali who recently said that she had broken up with Khan after she caught him cheating with Aishwarya Rai had once apologised to the Bishnoi community and asked forgiveness for Khan's involvement in the Blackbuck case of 1989. She said that mistakes should be forgiven and should not lead to violence or threats.?
In an interview with Hindustan Times, she said that humans are bound to make mistakes but this should not lead to attempting to kill someone. "I don't support hunting as a sport but this event took place so many years ago. Salman was much younger in 1998. I want to request the head of the Bishnoi tribe to forget about it and move on. I apologise on his behalf (Salman) if he has made a mistake and please forgive him," she was quoted as saying.?

After she made this comment, the Bishnoi community responded to her. Responding to this,?Of the 29 rules of the (Bishnoi) community, one is forgiveness. If Khan comes to our temple, sits with community members and takes an oath for conservation of wildlife and environment, and tenders and apology, we can think over it."
Recently as well, the community has issued fresh calls for Khan to apologise. Inderjeet Bishnoi, who is the secretary of Bishnoi Sabha has said, "If Salman comes to Mukam with his security, the temple will be cleared to allow him to seek forgiveness privately & respectfully."
Somy Ali and Salman Khan were dating back in the 1990s. They broke up in 1999, after which the former actress and model moved from Mumbai to the US. While she has often talked about her troubled relationship with Khan, she has also defended him on several occasions.? ?
