One of the most anticipated films of Aamir Khan - Laal Singh Chaddha tanked at the box office miserably. Some quoted the reason as major boycott calls against the actor and some said the subject was too weak and shallow. Whatever may be the unfortunate reason, Aamir¡¯s cousin Mansoor Khan has now shared an intriguing anecdote.
In a recent interview with PTI, Mansoor revealed that he has always been "frank enough" to give feedback to Aamir before others. Where Mansoor called Aamir¡¯s performance in this Forrest Gump adaptation ¡®over the top¡¯, veteran filmmaker SS Rajamouli¡¯s also echoed similar thoughts.
Mansoor shared, "Aamir has a great sense of humour. So one day he laughingly tells me, 'When you told me it was over the top, I said, ok, you are a subtle guy which is why you might have felt that way. But when someone like Rajamouli tells me overacting lag raha hai, I said to myself, Isko bhi lag raha hai toh kiya hi hoga (If he also feels so then it must be)'."

Mansoor revealed that he had liked the script and even how fine Atul Kulkarni wrote it. But it was Aamir who went over the top with his expressions. He added, "The character is not a jerk, not someone suffering from dyslexia or anything else. He is a bit odd... But that's about it."
He shared, ¡°I get so lost that nothing else happens in my life. This is why I was supposed to do a film called Champions after LSC, it¡¯s a beautiful film. But I feel like I want to take a break, I want to be with my family - with my mom and my kids. I feel like I¡¯ve been working for 35 years and single-mindedly been focused on my work.¡±
¡°And it's not fair to the people close in my life. It¡¯s the time I want to be with Mom and my kids. It¡¯s time to experience life in a different way. So I am looking forward to the next year and a year and a half, where I will actively not be working as an actor.¡±
Aamir further revealed that he will take the producer¡¯s seat for Champions and will look for other actors to take over the part he was hoping to play.
