Ever since Randeep Hooda shared a picture of his epic transformation for?Swantantrya Veer Savarkar, fans are bowled over. Some even showed concern and argued it was an unhealthy practice. Others compared him to Hollywood actor Christian Bale's transformation when he lost 27 kgs The Machinist. How did the actor achieve this look? Here's unveiling his weight loss journey and diet plan that helped him shed 26 Kgs to nail the role of?Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.?
Earlier, rumours were doing the rounds that Hooda survived only on milk and dates. Debunking the speculations, the actor told Aaj Tak in an interview, "I am afraid that people may not start copying after reading such news. I want to clarify that I was not on a diet of milk and dates. This is very dangerous, it can spoil your health. Do not follow this at all."
Delving into his diet plant, Hooda revealed that he worked closely with his sister to achieve this look as Veer Savarkar. He followed a?paleo diet and had eggs, nuts, dates, and even dark chocolates at different stages of the transformation.
Apart from this, he also followed intermittent fasting (an?eating plan that focuses on when you eat, rather than what you eat. Basically, a?window is set? during which you can eat each day, and you fast the rest of the time). Not just that, he also?took some vitamin supplements too as he was losing 6 to 7 kgs in a span of five days.?
The actor said, "During this time I followed paleo diet, intermittent fasting, and vitamin supplements. I had to lose 6 to 7 kgs in five days. I have gone through all these processes. That too under the supervision of experts. The wrong news that was spread, that dates and milk reduce weight, is very unhealthy. I didn't only eat dates, I used to eat things like eggs, chile, nuts, and dark chocolate at different stages. Meanwhile, I had also fixed cheat dates for myself."
She told the publication,?"Honestly, I am not in favour of such drastic weight loss, and even during Sarabjit's time, I had warned him (Randeep) that it could take a toll on him. However, knowing his dedication for his craft, I didn't want him to be misguided by someone. I am a trained professional and hence took charge to help him in a safe and healthy way. We played with his diet and provided energy to him through fat. We assured that there was no loss of minerals and vitamins. We gave him food cooked in badam ghee and coconut oil. The result is for everyone to see."??
At the same time, she praised her brother's dedication for?Swantantrya Veer Savarkar.?"Honestly, he's not stupid and does things logically. He listens to me and understands that this cannot be repeated. However, it's amazing to see how dedicated he is to his work. I don't think a lot of people can do it. He should win awards just for his love for acting."
